Student savings from Herrick’s Introduction to Logic

Paul Herrick received his Ph.D in philosophy from the University of Washington. Since 1983 he has taught philosophy at Shoreline Community College in Washington, near Seattle. His Introduction to Logic text (published by Oxford University Press) is tailored to the online logic course Philosophy 106, available as part of the Open Course Library.  The author reports that the text has been adopted by at least 15 teachers using a total of at least 30 sections, in states on both coasts and in the midwest.

Introduction to Logic is made available to students at $59.00 for the 800 page paperback and $29.95 for the complete e-text.  Per copy, students save anywhere from $100 to $120 dollars compared to the most widely used books in the field.
